The benefits

OK, so for all the complaining I do about living in France and not working - it's paid off this time.

Sparky and I were talking this evening...he's in China right now on business.
"Hey" he says, "why don't you come out here with me this week"
Last minute ticket - noooo, it would be waaaaaayyyy too expensive - wouldn't it?
And it doesn't seem right jumping on a plane the next day to head 11 hrs away to another country...I need more planning than that don't I?

Turns out no.

There in lies the beauty of living in Europe and not working :)
Even last minute tickets are not that expensive on this side of the globe, and, well, since I don't work, my appointment calendar for this week seems to be empty...what the heck!

So I'm off to China tomorrow afternoon. My first trip anywhere over "there" - I'm so excited!
